Where we work

Established in 2012, the five-year USAID RESPOND Project supports sustainable, country-led programs in Ukraine aimed at reduction of HIV transmission among key populations and their sexual partners.

Initially the project activities were centered in Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Mykolayiv and Odesa regions expanding later to Cherkasy, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhya regions.

Starting in October 2015, project activities have been mainly focused on the seven regions of the country with the highest HIV burden: Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhya regions and the city of Kyiv.
